What is the measure of success?
Throughout our lives, we see these images of success—the big house, the nice car. You know, the white picket fence. Tangible objects that once acquired indicate that we’ve made it.
Therefore, success becomes something you strive to get. But, after acquiring a certain level of what you think success should be, you don’t feel successful?
We’re conditioned to think that success is a quantifiable goal like reaching your ideal weight. And, once you or others have achieved it, you can see it. But, you may have found that your pursuit of success has left you feeling like something in your life is lacking.
What you may have realized is that the measure of success is not tangible. It’s more complex than that. And, people whom you look at and say, “Wow, they’re so successful,” may be lacking something that makes them feel as though they’ve achieved nothing worthwhile.
A Business Insider article illustrates how twelve rich, powerful people define success. Not one of them says wealth or power are the most important components of success. For them, success is less tangible. Instead, they define success through feelings, relationships, individual growth, or the impact they have on others.
So, how do you define success?
You can determine the amount of money you need to make. You’re able to determine the hours you need to work to meet your personal financial needs. You can make enough to get out of debt. You can save for retirement. Or, you can save to travel the world. You can even work as you travel the world since a career as a Virtual Assistant allows you to work from anywhere at any time.
The possibilities are endless, and you have the power to define your own success with a career as a Virtual Assistant. Not just monetary success, but also the quality of life you’re able to live.
